"If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we, but everyone will profit from it. This is the most basic kind of peace work."

Daphne combines a passion for understanding how things work in the real world with a curiosity about the unseen mysteries of life. Daphne works in partnership with clients, supporting them as they explore the landscape of their own body, mind and soul.  She offers a warm, heart-centered approach along with pragmatic tools that clients can use to improve the quality of their everyday lives.  Her personal practice includes mindfulness techniques as taught by Thich Nhat Hanh; chi gong; yoga; dance; intuitive painting; writing and more.

Daphne began her career as a journalist, and her articles have appeared in The Washington Post; Newsweek; The Christian Science Monitor; Hemispheres (the United Airlines Magazine); US Air Magazine; Foundation News & Commentary; National Wildlife Magazine;  Common Boundary; and many others. After writing about social change for almost 20 years, Daphne decided to create a nonprofit organization as a way to create change and bring healing to the world.

In 1995, Daphne founded The Lion & Lamb Project.  The organization's mission was to stop the marketing of violent entertainment to children.  The core message was simple:  violence is not “entertaining,” and violent toys, movies, and video games should not be marketed to young children.  Lion & Lamb became a well-known national organization, and Daphne was invited to testify before U.S. Senate and House committees, the Federal Trade Commission, and other groups. As a passionate and articulate spokeswoman, Daphne appeared regularly on television and radio shows, and was interviewed by Phil Donohue, Dana Reeve, Juan Williams and many others.

As she approached her 50th birthday, Daphne decided to leave the nonprofit world and dedicate herself fully to the mysteries of healing, which had intrigued her for most of her adult life.  She has never looked back.

"Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?"
